We are a nonprofit educational organization run by volunteer instructors.

None of our instructors are paid - we do it for the love of the art and to serve the community.

As such, we are able to keep our monthly training donations extremely affordable, and never turn away a student for lack of ability to pay.

If you are unable to afford these suggested amounts, you can work out an amount with the head of school.  Scholarships in exchange for assistance with cleaning the dojo are also an option.

Our suggested monthly donations (for individuals or the first person in a family):

$20 per month for "Tiny Tigers" class

$35 per month for kids, students, & seniors

     $50 per month for adults

After the first person, it is only $20 per extra family member

(In addition, we cap this to allow for larger families that want to share this experience together, so the maximum monthly donation amount for kids class is $75 and adult class or a mixed kids/adults family maximum is $90)

Other fees:

1. Annual (once a year) Membership to Northern Lights Martial Arts Center, due upon joining.  Members joining from September-December who pay this fee will count as having paid it for the following year as well.  This fee covers our insurance and other administrative and operating expenses.

$35/year for children up to 13 years old

$50/year for all members 14 years and older

2. Annual (once a year) - National Membership to Cuong Nhu Martial Arts Association (CNOMA).  This is payable directly to the association online at cuongnhu.com and is due before your first rank test (usually after 3-4 months).and then yearly:

$40 individual

$65 family

3. A uniform (gi).  This is also needed by your first test (after approximately 3 months).  We provide these at wholesale costs to our students.  Standard prices are:

$20 for kids

$40 for adults

This includes a belt and patch and is for a lightweight material, average size.  Heavyweight uniforms and/or larger sizes will cost a bit more (ask Sensei Kevin for details).
